SOX Analyst — IT Compliance (Contract)
About the Role
WideNet Consulting Group is placing a contract SOX Analyst with an enterprise client navigating a significant Oracle Cloud Fusion implementation. This is a detail-oriented, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of IT compliance and system transformation. You will work hand-in-hand with both IT and business-side SOX teams to make sure controls are thoughtfully designed from the start — not bolted on at the end.
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to weave SOX ITGC controls directly into Oracle Cloud Fusion integration workflows spanning HR and Finance systems
- Evaluate how system changes, data migrations, and interface integrations create downstream SOX exposure and recommend appropriate coverage
- Design control structures around access provisioning, role architecture, and segregation of duties to reduce audit risk before it materializes
- Review and validate role design, provisioning workflows, and least-privilege enforcement to ensure they hold up under scrutiny
- Gather and quality-check audit evidence connected to integration milestones throughout the project lifecycle
- Serve as a day-to-day partner during external auditor walkthroughs and testing cycles, including support for Big 4 engagement teams
- Own the documentation — keeping it organized, current, and ready for review at any point in the engagement
- Monitor control design and testing progress, open risks, and remediation activity in a structured and reportable format
- Keep SOX leadership informed with clear, concise status updates that surface the right information without noise
What You Bring
- Solid understanding of SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs) and how they apply in large-scale ERP environments
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion or a comparable enterprise platform implementation
- Familiarity with access provisioning, SoD frameworks, and role design best practices
- Experience supporting external audit processes, ideally with Big 4 firms
- Strong documentation instincts — you produce work product that auditors trust
- Ability to translate compliance requirements into practical guidance for technical and business teams alike
Pay Range: $80-85 per hour, depending upon experience. Health & Medical Benefits, 401K, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Time applicable by state.
