Job Description:
Location: Candidate will work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Background:
The IT Application Developer/Analyst will support existing applications, develop new applications, and assist with strategies to transform the portfolio to modern architectures. The Developer/Analyst will be accountable for the reliability, performance, and uptime of these IT solutions.
Key Functions:
- Understands business and manufacturing processes and the role of the IT solutions in the execution of those processes.
- Performs complex application analysis, problem solving, implementation, and documentation
- Develops a sound understanding of relevant technologies in order to most effectively assess and implement software applications
- Participates in the preparation of requirements specifications, detailed technical designs, and construction phases of the overall software development lifecycle, as well as working closely with the Project Manager
- Works with architects, senior developers, and system administrators to ensure the effective implementation of detailed technical designs and resulting software
- Educates users on how to use the solutions and systems for optimal business value.? This may include creating training materials in multiple media and formats.
- Maintain support documentation and related knowledgebase.
- Participates in ITIL incident, problem, and change processes as appropriate. Supports disaster recovery planning, testing and execution.
- Participates in after-hours support.
Requirements:
- Computer Science degree (or related degree) or 5+ years equivalent technical training /experience
- Broad understanding of business processes and a deeper understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated SQL Server DB/SQL programming skills
- Demonstrated application programming skills
- Skilled in communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Skilled at collecting user requirements and building functional and technical specifications for strategic custom applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent collaboration skills in working together with others across all IT segments
- Proven ability to operate and effectively communicate while under pressure; as well as the ability to manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints with minimal supervision
- Able to work after hours on-call as scheduled
Highly Valued:
- Demonstrates web development skills (such as ASP.Net C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, UI5, VB)
- Windows Presentation Framework knowledge
- Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services or other cloud IaaS or PaaS experience and knowledge
- Automation tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet) experience and knowledge
- SAP ECC R/3, S/4 HANA, Fiori (UI5) experience or knowledge
- Reporting systems development experience: Microsoft Reporting Services/Analysis Services, Power BI
- Aspires to broader leadership accountabilities.
Pay Range: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
