HCM Transformation Transition Lead

This position requires the candidate to be onsite in Seattle, WA, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Work remotely on Monday and Friday.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Transition Management Lead to support a large-scale Transformation Program. This role will be responsible for managing workforce transitions related to changes in the HR Service Center, the HRIS, and the HRIT and developing a Workforce Management (WFM) team as the HR organization evolves its operating model to support the program. The Transition Management Lead, in collaboration with key HR leaders, will develop and execute a structured approach to align the organization with future state roles while minimizing business disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Transition Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a workforce transition plan, including governance, structure, and timeline
- Assess employees against new skills, capabilities, and competencies required for future roles.
- Align workforce transition activities with overall HR, IT, and WFM transformation goals.
- Establish a framework to identify future-state capability needs and mitigate skills gaps.
- Match employees to new roles based on existing capabilities and transformation requirements.
Talent Development & Retention
- Facilitate upskilling and reskilling programs for impacted employees.
- Ensure key talent within HR, IT, and WFM is retained and appropriately redeployed.
- Develop strategies to acquire new talent where skill gaps exist.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Work closely with HR, IT, and WFM leadership to ensure alignment on workforce transitions.
- Communicate transition plans effectively to leadership teams.
- Collaborate with training, change management, and communications teams to support smooth transitions.
- Monitor and address risks, legal obligations, and compliance factors related to workforce transitions.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Develop success metrics to measure the effectiveness of the workforce transition strategy.
- Track employee movement, training effectiveness, and workforce readiness.
- Ensure sustainability of the new organizational structure post-go-live.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, HR transformation, or change management.
- Strong understanding of HCM transformation, HRIS/HRIT, and Workforce Management processes.
- Experience leading large-scale workforce transitions or organizational change initiatives.
- Ability to analyze capability gaps and develop talent strategies to address them.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment and adoption.
- Experience in developing and executing training, recruitment, and retention strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with HR Service Centers, WFM Centers of Excellence, and HRIS/HRIT teams.
- Familiarity with HR systems like UKG or PeopleSoft.
- Background in industries with complex workforce management and HR transformation needs.
Pay Range: $77.00 – $89.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
