Position Summary

This role is responsible for implementing and using digital employee experience (DEX) tool(s) to continuously measure and improve employee experience with technology. The DEX engineer is empathetic and tech-savvy, and possesses a natural curiosity as well as problem-solving and strong analytical skills. This role relies on critical relationships and collaboration with business and IT colleagues to identify and eliminate digital friction, and plan and accelerate new technology deployments. DEX engineers are never satisfied with the status quo and continuously look for ways to eliminate administrative overhead through automation.
This role is remote.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the DEX life cycle:
  • Assess needs and develop use cases.
  • Build and maintain digital personas and journey maps.
  • Measure and publish reports on DEX scores, including technology performance and adoption, and employee sentiment.
  • Monitor technology performance and adoption.
  • Measure digital employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Leverage actionable insights and intelligence to understand causes of digital friction.
  • Act on insights in the form of automated self-healing or reinforcing employee behavioral change.
  • Iterate to continuously improve business outcomes.
  • Own and administer DEX tool(s), including:
  • Tool and system maintenance.
  • Configuration and customization.
  • Alignment with business and IT requirements.
  • Reporting and dashboards.
  • Role-based user access management.
  • DEX vendor relationship management.
  • Product roadmaps.
  • Integration with ITSM platforms, self-service catalog, chat bot, endpoint management and security tools.
  • Create, publish and communicate knowledgebase articles related to the use of DEX tools and related automation/self-healing.
  • Integrate DEX into various IT processes (e.g., ITSM, SecOps, DevOps, ITOM, ITAM, etc.) to improve quality and stability of technology and services.
  • Collaborate with digital workplace engineering and IT security teams to support endpoint security and compliance, configuration, patching and vulnerability management processes.
  • Integrate DEX tool sentiment functionality and measures into employee listening or voice of the employee (VoE) processes and tools.
  • Partner with IT, HR, facilities and operations colleagues to understand technology dependence, requirements, workflows and key features; then ensure DEX tools can monitor and continuously improve those.
  • Measure and set business outcomes, KPIs, experience-level agreements (XLAs), and objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Ensure that the most important digital workplace technologies (devices and applications) are supported by the DEX tool.
  • Stay up to date on best practices defined for the DEX tool.
  • Leverage and mentor digital workplace champions and enablement agents for communication of new capabilities and collection of employee feedback.
  • Align DEX and digital workplace strategy to promote workforce digital dexterity, agile approaches like continuous endpoint engineering, and elimination of administrative overhead with automation.
  • Establish and manage a funnel that, building on defined personas and employee journeys, continuously detects and evaluates DEX issues.
  • Educate digital workplace operations staff about technical skills and best practices.
  • As applicable and time allows, perform Level 3 Incident Management and employee support.
  • Participate in the major incident management process to investigate, diagnose and remediate technology outages.

     

    Experience and Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience implementing DEX, endpoint management, analytics and automation tools.
    • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
    • Experience with standard IT operations frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
    • Experience with digital persona and journey mapping.
    • Experience using automation and scripting tools and languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
    • Ability to analyze data, recognize trends and react accordingly.
    • Experience with structured data analytics and reporting platforms and tools.
    • Working knowledge of:
    • ITSM platforms
    • Digital experience and network performance monitoring tools (Nexthink)

    Pay Range: $55.00 – $70.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
