Job Description/Skills:
This position is fully remote in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deliver secure, scalable systems and services that meet the rigorous demands of financial applications.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, with a focus on resilience and fault tolerance.
- Build and maintain services deployed through automated CI/CD pipelines with strong controls and auditability.
- Implement user analytics, logging, monitoring, and instrumentation to support operational visibility and regulatory compliance.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure reliability in a high-stakes environment.
- Collaborate with product, risk, and compliance teams to define business-critical requirements and design secure, compliant features.
- Participate in agile ceremonies to plan, estimate, and deliver robust financial software solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical, business, and compliance teams
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Node.js, Python, Java, or C#, with a strong preference in Python.
- Experience developing scalable, cloud-native systems—preferably on AWS—using containers or serverless architectures
- Deep understanding of secure software development practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure APIs
- Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and proactive risk mitigation
- Commitment to high-quality code, including comprehensive test coverage, CI/CD pipelines, and production-readiness
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL data stores, with attention to secure data handling and access controls
- Background in building RESTful services and event-driven architectures with a security-first mindset
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivering iteratively
- Experience with API Management Platforms; Apigee knowledge is a plus, especially in securing and monitoring APIs
Pay Range: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
