Project Management Office Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for a passionate, data-driven, team-oriented individual to join their innovative wholesale company that is quickly emerging as a leader within the industry. It is a pivotal and exciting time for their company as they continue to grow their workforce, expanding operations, supply chain, marketing, software development, and sales teams.

As the PMO Manager, your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other department leaders to develop projects and programs.

To be successful as a PMO Manager, you should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch PMO Manager should be well organized and able to work under pressure.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·      Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects for improved business functions through technological advances.

·      Plan projects, including establishing deadlines, task prioritization and task assignments.

·      Review and Monitor projects to ensure accurate resource allocations, track budgets and identify risks/issues.

·      Provide status reports to executives including project status and budget outlines.

·      Oversee the development of the project and ensure that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently and within budget, while upholding company standards.

·      Develop and implement new and improving existing PMO policies and processes.

·      Accurately document the projects creation, justification, development, and execution.

·      Oversee the capture and documentation of business requirements and justification for the project.

·      Assess/prioritize projects in the context of the overall project portfolio, and seek consensus from the business regarding time, features, budget, and priority.

·      Supervise and develop project staff.

·      Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Administration, or related field

·      Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the IT industry

·      Minimum of 1 year experience is a supervisory role

·      PMP Certification a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.
